This emergency lamp is designed to be mounted on the wallrn or ceiling and to be connected to your AC electrical rnpower. It senses when your electricity goes out, rnso that the two flood lamps mounted on the unit willrn come on in the case of electrical failure. The fixture is rn9 x 9 in size and the case without the lamps is 2 deep. rnMost likely, you will have to replace the rechargeablernbattery in the light because it is an older unit. The lightrnfixture has a test button on the front so that when you rnwire it in to your electricity, you can test it to seernthat it works without turning off your electricity. The case rnalso has a little bit of paint on the side from where the rnwall may have been painted.rn

rnThis lighting unit operates off of 3 rechargeable batteries that are 2 volt, 5.0 AH x Cell Batteries. In practice, the lighting unit is plugged into a 110 volt duplex or outlet and when it senses that there is no electricit, the lights come on to light the way to get out of the room. When the electricity comes back on, it recharges itself back up to full power. At this point, since the unit has not been used, it is a safe bet that the batteries will need to be replaced.rn
